A very early ski, with minimal stops for photos.  Now that the grooming has become more reliable (the last 4 years were not) I ventured out at 8:00 a.m. as I used to in the olden days.  Conditions were good.  The only sound was the loud rhythmic crunch of the poles on the hard snow.   I had only a limited window of time or I might still be waiting for that owl to come even closer – heard but not seen where this photo was taken at Huron Lookout.    Later today there should be some photos of some very exciting Easterns Sprints at Nakkertok .
