?Barb in a kayak – freedom! ( And Katie and Garry in the canoe) On this evening we heard one pack of wolves very close to the shore, and a smaller, answering pack in the distance. Last week was quite the week for wolves! We heard them more than a dozen times at various hours between dusk and 7:00 a.m, sometimes very close, other times quite far. Twice we also heard what sounded like a single wolf, with an absolutely heart-breaking vocalization.
