A real hike! No manicured trails, one of the rewards was this pristine lake, Lac Alphonse. This area is between Arundel, Lac Champagneur and the Rouge River. It is used somewhat for hunting in November and by snowmobile clubs in the winter, but no one ever seems to hike around here. One day we will succeed in finding the height of land which overlooks the Rouge. In the meantime it is a beautiful area to explore.
