A community group in Orléans, Ontario, Ski Heritage East, is working to establish a multi-use winter recreational trail along the banks of the Ottawa River. This professionally groomed trail will facilitate skate and classic skiing, snowshoeing, fat-tire cycling as well as walking.
The trail will stretch over 8km from Green’s Creek to Trim Road and will be open, while snow conditions permit, from January to end of season (April?).
Funds are needed immediately to prepare the trail and organizers are counting on your help to get started. Financial support from the community will also help persuade government and the private sector to chip in on an initiative that will cost $40k a year to operate. last year.
