This big, beautiful fellow darted out of the bushes a few meters from where I was standing, and, more to the point a few meters away from a beaver, presumably his planned lunch. He then crossed the pond (while I extricated the camera), submerging himself a few times in the process. A few minutes later he returned to the pond, undeterred by the dunkings. The geese paid him no mind at all.
