Here is the question: at what point does a parkway become an official ski trail?\u00a0 Is it when\u00a0 it is first groomed?\u00a0 Is it when they start checking for passes? Or when the NCC site says the season has begun?\u00a0 Or is all this irrelevant because walkers use the ski trails all winter?\u00a0\u00a0 The NCC site does not mention having groomed.\u00a0 &#8220;<em>Note: Gatineau\u00a0Park\u2019s cross\u00ad country\u00a0 ski\u00a0season\u00a0has\u00a0not\u00a0yet officially\u00a0started.\u00a0As\u00a0soon\u00a0as there is enough\u00a0snow\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0ground,\u00a0we\u00a0will\u00a0 begin grooming\u00a0operations<\/em>. &#8220;.\u00a0 However they DID begin grooming.\u00a0 The NCC\u00a0 needs a plan:\u00a0 create a walking trail beside the parkway perhaps?\u00a0\u00a0 (a dedicated doggie ski trail would be nice, too, like they have in Silver Star, but there is a subject for another day&#8230;)\u00a0 Better signage ?\u00a0\u00a0 Bouncers?\u00a0 Usher in the season to coincide with ski-able snow instead of waiting for an arbitrary date?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rant: Demsis groomed the parkway and the NUMEROUS skiers were thrilled.\u00a0 So were the many walkers using the groomed center area.\u00a0 In the time I was out, I spotted at least 7 groups of walkers on the fortune Parkway, including one group with about a dozen people.
