A short (but tiring!) snowshoe outing – with abundant, fresh, snowball snow it seemed much more appealing than trying to wax at zero degrees or skating yet again on the Doldrums (the only trail groomed ). And perfect timing! A group of 20 school children was just leaving as I set out.
