(two photos) Canada Day – and Gatineau Park was packed with people enjoying the superb weather and the free admission. This was taken near the northern end of Lac Lapêche – it was a classically beautiful day for paddling.
The swimming photo at Meech didn’t turn out, unfortunately. Early this morning there were many groups of wetsuit-clad team swimmers splashing all around the lake. It was an impressive sight even though they sounded like spooked mergansers as they approached.
