A friendly and knowledgeable photographer showed me two Green Herons across from the goose pond near P8.   Even with his clear directions it took me a while to spot them – from a distance they looked like pond scum.    Now I’m wondering how many times I have passed right by them without seeing them.    To celebrate this “new” species, there are 3 photos.
