Here is an adorable  change of pace from across the world!  Lorraine Winchester sent it to me with  these comments:

Eastern Grey kangaroo. She’s probably more than 6 months old because she’s out of the pouch, but the mum will continue to supplement her grazing with milk until about 18 months. They are pretty amazing, as they can feed a newborn and a joey with different types of milk at the same time.

They eat a variety of grasses, and have a nibble on our lawn, which is a type of buffalo, but never touch any other plants or our herb garden. They like young shoots of plants, and drive our bush care volunteers crazy when they get into the new plantings, although they zero in on the grasses. We’ve had a very dry winter, so we’re seeing lots of of them around town at present, and the daily walk requires much dodging of “roo poo”.
Thanks, Lorraine!
