This is Kim, enjoying a classic ski on the grass of the North Loop.

At 3:00   I decided against climbing the Fortune Parkway as the odds of getting the wax right, at zero degrees,  were pretty slim.   The North Loop was surprisingly okay, the temperatures immediately started to drop and – miraculously-  my wax was perfect  – carrot.  A fun first ski.
