We somehow ended up exploring a section of the Aerobic Corridor on one of those two days the temperature reached a humid 34. There is a breeze while cycling, and we were imagining a shady forest trail. Hmmmm. Well, between Arundel and Lac des Seize Iles, the “trail” switches umpteen times between rutted cow pasture and highway. The one wooded stretch felt beautifully remote but boasted the most blood thirsty deer flies! And just at the most beautiful spot the section was closed due to a long drawn out legal battle with a landowner. It’s only a 300 meter section but the long detour takes you up a long steep pitch to the highway, without any further signage to get you back to the trail. The signage was also missing on the return trip. We were not impressed.
