BEAVERS ARE US. Really! Perhaps not the best example of our national, submersible rodent, however I very nearly STEPPED on this huge guy as he exited the bushes on my right and crossed right in front of me, somewhere around Huron, on Ridge Road. Before actually looking at him I just assumed he was a porcupine, as he seemed completely oblivious to my presence. Of course the camera was tucked away.
