With the wind and low temperatures, a short snowshoe trip was ideal!  It was sheltered, and there were no ice-cream- headache-downhills.  Trails 60 and 61 really give you a bang for your buck.   Although very short and close to the Visitor’s Center, they are remarkably hilly and scenic.  There are trails winding up through rocky clefts and beneath large cedar and spruce groves. It’s almost possible to believe you are far from civilization!  The sun was low, so it was especially enjoyable.
