A nice flat cycle on a warm day, on the Rockcliffe Parkway. This was taken on the weekend, and despite the quiet appearance there were 1000’s of cyclists out! On what is usually a very lazy, peaceful break from cycling on hills, it was a bit of a shock. There were fast pelotons of cyclists almost grazing me as they passed in formation (on the bike path), and other, more pedestrian and mortal cyclists of all stripes. One cyclist even offered to “pull me”. (I declined). At first I just thought that cycling was finally catching on in this city – but it turned out to be the Vélo Québec Grand Tour.
