At exactly the same time each dusk, this enormous flock of birds whirrs by on their way to “bed”.   It is always very sudden, and surprisingly thrilling, but then immediately they are gone.  This time, however, Garry and I were paddling together and I happened to be sitting with the camera in my hand as we chilled out in a quiet bay.  Not sure, but I think they may be grackles.
