Some beautiful colours today!    It seems every time I cycle in the park I stop to give directions to a  lost soul or three poring cross-eyed over that vague map that they give out at the park office.   Typically they are on the north loop and searching for Kingsmere or the Champlain Lookout – as far away from their destination as they could be!  Although the map might be suitable as a place mat in a pub, it is impossible for a casual visitor to get any idea of scale on such a general map. Wouldn’t it be nice if they posted a few detailed maps with a “you are here” at  major intersections, or developed   a more detailed map to hand out to visitors.  Trail numbers, ponds, distances and such would be helpful.
