One of my favorite trails, 52, at the section with the old pine trees. I haven’t skied this trail in a couple of years, so it was a joy, but it was also sad to see it watered down to a general trail with erratic classic tracks that seemed to be almost an afterthought. And signage everywhere about staying right. That was not needed when it was classic only. Over the last 15 years or so many classic tracks have disappeared from the park. The park management seems to favour skating over classic. Perhaps it’s cheaper? Top skiers and keen recreational skiers do both about equally. I hope the remaining classic-only trails do not disappear.
