Trail 15 (I think). A thoroughly enjoyable very late afternoon ski in fresh snow on the Kingsmere and Pink Lake trails. It was a most peaceful ski with few skiers on the trails. I’ve so often been told “but classic is so much slower”, but today that was the whole point! This was one of my favorite skis this year – silky new snow, perfect wax and a comfortable minus 4. The only sounds were the squeak of the poles, the hiss of the skis and an owl or two near P5 as it started to get dark.
