A lovely flat bike ride to Petrie Island and a bit of exploring on foot. (Can you spot the turtle?) En route there were so many smiling faces, cyclists, dog walkers and numerous runners taking part in some sort of event. The only thing that spolied my solo outing was a young, kitted-out woman saying “Way to go, girl” as she cycled passed me on the GEC parkway. That is ageist! Try “Good Morning” next time!
