So much for my crafty plan to start early – P10 was filled at 7:45! Conditions were a contrast to yesterday – dirty and icy. They were almost certainly better higher up, and would soften up later, but I decided I didn’t really want to use my good skis on this stuff. At least one goose has returned and the fat lady was warming up backstage. There were lots of frenzied weekend warriors out even at 8:00. They are the closest thing to wildlife I have seen in the park this winter. What a strange year.
