Another pleasant cycling trip on the eastern Ottawa bike paths.  In addition to this rabbit (spotted twice) we also saw a family of mallards .  The numerous chicks were no more than an inch long  – the entire family vanished under the  grass, leaving only a few waving stalks as evidence that they had passed by.  This is one of the three areas proposed for the new inter-provincial bridge, a very sad thought.
