It seems to have become a tradition to follow  in Kari’s tracks on the first ski of the year – they are arrow  straight.  With at least 10-15  cm down, the skiing was better than most first skis of the year. My wax even worked!   After the groomers passed (Fortune, Champlain parkway in both directions) the skating conditions improved remarkably, although Kari’s beautiful classic tracks were scraped away.  Demsis gets an A+ for effort.   It was great to see them out there.
