The lack of track setting on Champlain was disappointing today, although I enjoyed my ski in the fresh snow despite this. However, having paid for a ski pass just like the skaters, it’s hard to understand why the classic grooming is so poor – definitely inferior to the previous two years. What’s going on?
I agree with you Kitty, the Grooming seems to be INCONSISTENT, many times not Track set or just the lack of grooming. I remember years ago the grooming was done every other day regardless of snow accumulation.
The funny thing is, the NCC website shows trail 1 as having been groomed for classic, not for skating, this morning… Obviously they don’t take this very seriously. Saw a pair of snowmobiles making a second pass up Penguin around noon.
Remember that the perfect is the enemy of the good. When little snow accumulation, you better not touch it.
Great shot. Eric is a physiotherapist at Physiosport Chelsea. I’ve had 5 knee operations including double knee replacements and Eric brought me back to my active lifestyle. He even gave my wife and myself xc ski lessons. Now I am xc skiing (classic only) over 30 times per year…would be more but I am still working :(. Thanks Eric!!!
