First of 4 photos: A first glimpse of McKinstry, seen through the arched saplings. Today’s was one of the most enjoyable and memorable skis of the last couple of years. Beautiful temperatures (~minus 8) sunshine, perfect grooming (trails 40, 24 and Ridge to the “Old McKinstry”) and pristine, ungroomed trails that few had skied on. Garry wrote a detailed report about the trip, which you can read HERE.

Congratulations Jo-Ann – you’ve metamorphosed skating Gary into a real skier.
It seems that you both had a great day going back to the style of skiing that was in vogue when the “Old McKinstry” was new.
The February conditions can be so great and there’s so many ways, in the park, to enjoy those conditions that it’s hard to accept that we can’t do it all.
