This was a second heat-wave trip, on an even hotter day,  exploring a section of the more famous “P’tit Train du Nord” between St. Jovite and Labelle.  It had a hard packed gravel surface, passed beside lakes, alongside mountains, through forests and farmland, was well signed and generally pleasant.   We turned back at Labelle, where a converted train station was converted into a charming rest stop and cafe for cyclists.   The cycling was very easy, with a slight downhill on the way back, not a bad way to get a breeze on a hot day!
