A too short canoe camping trip – just testing the waters with a new canoe. I’m not telling where this was since I would hate to have crowds of people showing up and spoiling it! 3 days and we saw almost no one. Beautiful forested sites, empty portages, pristine scenery, no noisy camp groups, no motor boats or cottages, not even the sound of airplanes overhead (?). And for driving not nearly as far as Algonquin, let alone Temagami. It was a “10”, and we are going back!
