January 24, 2011: Trail 40

Trail 40 this afternoon.  This was one of the nicest stretches.  The hillier parts  are starting to  turn into narrow  bobsled runs. There are long stretches without any classic tracks whatsoever, where they have been skied to oblivion and cemented by the cold temperatures.

Yes. I’ve been shocked by the lack of classic trails this year.I wish I’d been told when I bought my pass that this would be a “Classic-free year”.
