A car camping trip to Taylor Lake. I would never choose to do this in the summer when the crowds are there, but at this time of year, it was amazing. Three of us had our own private snapping turtle, loon and heron, brief visits from deer , owls and a raccoon, we enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and swimming (and swimming and swimming). It was a humid heat wave and the bugs were, well, TERRIBLE at the camp site (black flies, mosquitos, deer flies, horse flies, stable flies, and no-see-ums, they all worked in shifts and encouraged us to retire by 9:00 each night!), but other than that it was a fantastic time.
