A sudden thunderstorm came up while I was cycling this afternoon on the Rockcliffe Parkway.   I scooted down to the river path and took shelter under a low lying grove of sumacs  (and tucked the camera away!) before the rain and lightning really got going!  After these last few weeks of dry weather, it was actually quite a treat to be soaked to the skin!  Unfortunately the rain was brief and localized.
