First paddle of the year – at the  Parc National de Plaisance.  Until mid afternoon the park was deserted (unless you count  2 deer, a raccoon, a giant beaver, 4 muskrats, a flock of cormerants, an eagle, a large group of neurotic mergansers, turkey vultures, noisy and numerous red-winged blackbirds, inquisitive eastern kingbirds, several flocks of Canada geese, two skimming swallows, a couple of teeny, unidentified shoreline birds, a sapsucker, a northern flicker, one cloud of biting mosquitoes  and a partridge in a pear tree   a couple of discarded beer cans.)

Good photo. I especially like the tree trunks in the foreground, with the fresh, green looking trees in the background and how the reflect on the water.
