One last stretch of the P’tit Train du Nord, this time between St. Jovite and Ste. Agathe, and back. There were some beautiful mountain vistas, and some stunning areas of colour, notably a 2 k stretch lined with golden tamaracks. There were also some sudden encounters with logging areas, and urban sprawl. This was taken not far from Ste. Agathe. One of the unexpected difficulties, for me, was dealing with the brilliant and low sun angle as we cycled past the bare trees – a strobe-light effect which was challenging even with sun glasses on.
