This is a pole hole in the soft snow.  Any science geeks out there know why the deep, powdery snow looked blue today?

Hi Joanne,

I call myself Geek Boy (Sue Cooke’s husband). We had colours explained to us wrt glaciers this summer but I must admit I had to look up the explanation for snow. It is essentially the same. Please read the summary at this site:
