If the “wash bears” are out and about, does this mean the black bears are awake now?
I saw clear Black Bear tracks just north of the Fire Tower on March 30th ! It seemed very early for a bruin to be out and about.
We have had bears come through our yard in Chelsea at this time of year in other years.
