A Catfish site, on our return trip. On our earlier trips (up to 2007) we saw moose frequently, including from this site. On this trip we saw none over the entire 6 days. Is it because we were about a week later?
I’d guess your moose count reflects the actual population in the park. There were a lot more moose along the Highway 60 corridor a dozen years ago. The population crashed after that and is still fairly low.
