Our hike crossed this lake, Lac Alphonse, a couple of swamps and some very hilly terrain above the Rouge Valley. It was all made accessible by a snowmobile route. Perfect timing, too, as the trails softened and the lake started melting later that afternoon. This is my brother Jim, with his dog Molly.
