Peter’s comment inspired me to check through the photo archive (found at both the top and bottom of this page) to see when skiing ended in 2012, another very early year. Temperatures reached 24 degrees on March 17, my final ski was on March 19, and we were cycling to the lookout on March 25!

Wow … cool … or should I say hot !
Interesting. Because I have under my eyes an (not so) official document that says we ended the season on March 23rd in 2012. Clearly there was no grooming done long before that…
Great photo! I was thinking about xc skiing and climate change, and I think the way things are going we will be lucky if there is any xc skiing at all during the winter by the end of this decade. It will be sad that a new generation will grow up where winter activities such as skating and skiing are only a memory, something they will only see in historical photographs.
