A gorgeous dusk bike ride, with a short stop to listen to a Hermit Thrush – the rude interruptions are the sounds of an attacking deer fly.
There is something about a high forest in mid-summer with the melody of a hermit thrush or a wood thrush. They make the woods a cathedral.
