Pickerel weed in fall garb. Interestingly there was no noticeable pickerel weed in the lake 50 years ago. This very large section of it is at the inlet to the lake, where it drains from another lake. It makes me wonder if the locals shouldn’t be encouraging the dreaded beavers to filter it as they did in the old days.
