This was hastily taken from the front porch, facing north at the hour everyone was reporting sightings of local northern lights. There are no street lights or house lights beyond the trees. Do you think this photo caught the aurora?
The colours look genuine, so very exciting. There have been sightings of the Aurora Australis as far north as Perth and Sydney around the same date.
