There were so many birds singing on this drizzly day that I stopped a couple of times to see what Merlin heard. This Myrtle Warbler was the prize for me, but there were also blue-tailed swallows, red-winged blackbirds, song sparrows, crows, robins, purple finches, chickadees, a flicker and of course geese. A week ago at the same location there was a lone woodpacker.

It’s the time of year when you can see warblers. Most times, they are hidden from sight.
