Cypripedium Acaule – A Lady’s Slipper or Moccasin flower, quite a treat to see!   It was on the shoreline,at the base of a cliff, and in an area with no cottages.

at our cottage, on Marble Lake, Quebec, one hour from Ottawa, we have about 2 dozen lady slippers this year. Each plant does not bloom every year, apparently only every 2nd year. I didn’t know how to attach one of my photos to this to show you a grouping of 5, that I took on the weekend.
