Although I do most things alone in the park, this was a first time for hiking the Wolf Trail by myself (not even a dog), and it was memorable! (I’m hooked! ) Ovenbirds, jays, robins and hawks were in abundance,(mostly ovenbirds), and small mammals were scurrying through the underbrush. The upper trail was especially quiet, not even the sound of my own foot steps. This is the view of the former “Champlain Sea”, facing right. Hmm, the horizon seems to be crooked!

This is the trail I walk every other weekend, as part of the Friends of Gatineau park adopt a trail program. This is what I call a real hiking trail, lots of ups and downs!!!!!!
I agree, Paul.
