We canoed early and had Meech Lake to ourselves – before the parking lots, parkways and trails filled up with eager visitors. Apparently most of the park was quite a zoo today!

Do you ever go up that creek in the spring? It is really pretty. It ends in a log jam, before you arrive at Harrington/Mousseau. You have to lift over a couple of small beaver dams to progress up it.

I think we may have done it a few years back. I seem to recall a big no trespassing sign at some point. Tempting. Such a beautiful spot.
