I waited to ski until the last possible moment to allow the wet snow to accumulate.  It WAS wet, but it was possible to skate on the grassy margins.  This was taken just around sunset and fine wet snow was still coming down.  I met two other skiers and three walkers.

And did you kindly tell those three walkers to stay off the parkways (and all other trails designated for XC skiing) now that we are finally getting some snow? Last winter I saw more walkers than before. Seems some people are unclear on trail etiquette.
