(Yes it is a ski trail, in case you are wondering). The skiing and the 10 degree spring weather – fabulous! Quite a few skiers were out but the low numbers amaze me. So many seem to pack it in and miss some of the best skiing of the year. At least I can hope that jerk who yelled ” on your right ” as he came right up behind me as I was in mid descent on Burma the other week has packed it in for speedier pursuits (and I wasn’t snow plowing, just tucking and getting set up to practice my step turns – it made me so mad that I went back up the hill and started it over. I hope it made him happy knocking a few seconds off his personal time trial, grrr). Ridge Road was beautiful despite the hiker’s tracks. On the other side, the Shilly Shally area is improved over last week, with clean snow which seemed even to be groomed. I had expected this to be my last ski, but now I’m not so sure! Will it last until Friday?

Love your comment. Last year Sue and I were going up the big Burma hill near the Fortune Parkway. There was someone going downhill at a normal speed. Behind him was a jerk yelling “get out of my way as I’m not going to slow down”. Weird I watch the Olympics but I don’t seem to recall seeing that jerk on the podium!
