January 2, 2011: Someone actually skied today!

Chris Mueller just sent me this photo taken from the Lookout today.  He and his team actually skied on the ice.  Chris reported that  “it wasn’t the best” in some ways, but that it was “pretty fast”.

We skied from P10 to Huron via Khyber and back via the Parkway early afternoon (Jan 3). There was a skein of new snow – just enough to partially set an skate edge going up and to slow us on the way down. More hikers than skiers but still a beautiful day.
