Confession: Not a ski trail but a snow shoe trail. Since I can’t skate ski this spring (sigh) the snowshoe trail was a welcome diversion from a steady diet of waxless classic or klister skiing as well as a chance to get off the beaten track. If I’d known, though, that the ski trails were all to be groomed today (the site listed only some parkways this morning) I would have skied.
This is a truly beautiful trail, narrow and winding, mostly uphill to Carmen Lake and then on to Spring Lake and back through the fields. We actually ditched the snowshoes because the trails were like concrete.

Glad that you had a good time – what a gorgeous day – it must have been just beautiful up in the Meech Creek Valley. Better to get there now before all the construction traffic starts up in ernest and spoils the silence.
You are so right. The devastation en route was really depressing. “Progress”
