“Yours to Protect”:  Definitely! The lack of foliage at this time of year highlights the garbage on the trails and parkways.   It’s fascinating to see how many types of beer  Gatineau Park users consume. I’ve been thinking of starting a garbage collection page on this site (the large amount of toilet paper on the trails last year was particularly inspiring) and will remember to take a garbage bag next time.

[…] Here Musician on Skis turns the tag line Yours to Protect (part of the NCC slogan for Gatineau Park) to the same purpose. Inspired by Jo-Ann’s example, my intention is to be packin’ a trash bag too next time I head into the Park. Share this:FacebookEmail This entry was posted in News. I agree totally! I started my first patrol of the Adopt-a-Trail program of the Friends of Gatineau Park last Tuesday and I was astounded by the amount of garbage around Wattsford lookout, very visible at this time of the year. I have been participating in this program for 3 years and it runs from May 15 to October 15. If you are interested in more info about this program, check their website.
