Did you ever wonder why cyclists seem to gravitate to the center of Meech Lake Road as they ride between Gatineau Park and Old Chelsea?   (It was slim pickings for photos today, a choice between this and a photo of a very emaciated and sick raccoon on the Gatineau Parkway. )

I wish the NCC would have given some cash to Chelsea to re-pave this road AND add paved shoulders instead of the $2.2M spent on all those signs.

I completely agree with Sue. What a waste of money and destruction of existing trees at certain sings areas.

The condition of this stretch of road is boardering on criminal negligence. Someone is going to get badly hurt or killed. Whatever the funding dispute must be, it has to be resolved for the public good.

It makes me suspect that there is some bad blood between Chelsea and the NCC. This is the only route to the parkways from Chelsea.
